Prescription renewal service fee

A fee charged by telemedicine platforms for clinically appropriate续方 (refill) of existing prescriptions without a new patient encounter or evaluation.

This is not a diagnostic or monitoring test. Its primary purpose is to facilitate continuity of care by enabling eligible patients to renew stable, low-risk prescriptions (e.g., for hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidemia) remotely through licensed internet hospitals—reducing in-person visits, improving medication adherence, and supporting chronic disease management under regulatory compliance (e.g., China’s NMPA and National Health Commission guidelines).
