One common approach is the use of structural grafts—such as columellar struts, lateral crural struts, or alar batten grafts—harvested typically from septal, auricular, or costal cartilage. These grafts provide support, enhance projection, correct asymmetry, or reinforce weakened cartilage frameworks, particularly in cases of tip ptosis or post-traumatic deformity.
Suturing techniques represent another cornerstone of nasal tip surgery. Methods such as the interdomal suture, transdomal suture, lateral crural overlay, and lateral crural steal allow precise repositioning and stabilization of the lower lateral cartilages without removing significant tissue.
