The most frequently reported side effect is transient local inflammation at the injection sites. This typically manifests as mild erythema, edema, tenderness, or pinpoint bruising, resolving spontaneously within 24 to 72 hours. These reactions reflect the mechanical trauma of multiple microinjections and are more common in patients with sensitive or reactive skin.
A second recognized complication is post-procedural hyperpigmentation—particularly in individuals with Fitzpatrick skin types III–VI.
