Peking University People's Hospital was established in 1918 and is one of the earliest national comprehensive hospitals in China. After a century of development, it has become a large modern comprehensive hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research. Currently, the hospital covers an area of about 50,000 square meters, with a building area exceeding 200,000 square meters and nearly 2,000 open beds. As a Grade A, Level 3 hospital directly under the National Health Commission, it not only enjoys a high reputation in medical services but also leads in medical education and scientific research. The hospital has 46 clinical and medical technology departments, among which the Department of Hematology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and several other disciplines have significant influence nationwide. In addition, the hospital undertakes the teaching tasks for undergraduate and graduate students at Peking University Health Science Center and has established cooperative relationships with many well-known medical institutions both domestically and internationally.
